Love Has No Labels

It’s time to evolve, to truly become civilized – beautifully shown in this simple but effective ad from Ad Council.

While the vast majority of Americans consider themselves unprejudiced, many of us unintentionally make snap judgments about people based on what we see—whether it’s race, age, gender, religion, sexuality, or disability. This may be a significant reason many people in the U.S. report they feel discriminated against. Subconscious prejudice—called “implicit bias”—has profound implications for how we view and interact with others who are different from us. It can hinder a person’s ability to find a job, secure a loan, rent an apartment, or get a fair trial, perpetuating disparities in American society. The Love Has No Labels campaign challenges us to open our eyes to our bias and prejudice and work to stop it in ourselves, our friends, our families, and our colleagues.

Find out more at Love Has No Labels.

BitTorrent

Props to Bittorrent for their recent campaign which saw billboards with pro-internet regulation sentiments go up around various US locations, before being subverted to reveal the true aim of the ad campaign at a later date.

All in the Wrist

We shall be attending this exciting looking event on Thursday, get down for some arty goodness!

Bench proudly present ‘All in the Wrist’ – 15th November – 8th December 2012
Curated by Manchester’s very own Moot, All in the Wrist brings together a collection of cardboard chaos from some of the North West’s finest artists.

Featuring works by Tasha Whittle, TJ “KREK” Dolan, Lottie Smith and Tea One.
A ‘no rules’ ethos applies to the exhibition. Incorporating a mix of styles from illustration, sculpture and graffiti, All in the Wrist gives rise to a whole host of techniques all brought together by one mesmerising medium of choice; cardboard.

The Bench gallery, a previously disused basement of the newly launched Bench Concept store in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, provides an innovative backdrop to this fantastic exhibition.
The exhibition launches with a private view evening Thursday 15th November, with music from Saber T and complimentary drinks courtesy of Jameson Irish Whiskey.

To RSVP for the private view, please get in touch with portia@canoeinc.com
