Get creative with your old records!

So a few weeks ago i went through my record collection. I noticed i had lots of 7″ duplicates, mainly of Toyah. This would be down to my dad giving me endless amounts of records. So i though i would put them to good use.

I heard a rumour that putting your record in the oven on top of a bowl for 3 minutes, causing the record to melt and mould around the bowl. If you decide to try this, carefully lift out after the record has softened, then alter shape to get it perfect. Although beware – The record hardens in 10 seconds.

Different bowls give different shapes. Some use this as a jewellery plate, key pots, simply decoration or candle holders.
